Welcomeship was a new model for entrepreneurship learning for young migrants together with local young people as a tool of inclusion. The project was a collaboration between several expert organisations in the field of entrepreneurship learning, migration and advocacy/lobbying as well as several implementing organisations which directly piloted and implemented the project in their communities.
This project addressed fears and prejudices in the community and foster a positive community spirit. The young people enrolled developed entrepreneurial ideas which address community issues and build partnerships with stakeholders to bring about positive change to the local communities. This collaboration was intended to lead to openness, tolerance and an atmosphere of togetherness in the community towards building inclusive communities.
