Wolves Lane Community Food Hub and Market
We secured £20,000 grant plus support (Bright Ideas fund) to develop a regular community market and to formalise a consortium structure. Together with the collaborating organisations, we wanted to use the funding to enable us to go beyond mainly operating separately as individual businesses, and maximise the benefit of working at the site together and engaging with the community it serves. Wolves Lane Community Food Hub and Community Market was funded and supported by Power to Change.
We are really pleased to support the Ubele Initiative in the development of the Wolves Lane Community Hub and Market. The project has the potential to provide opportunities in food growing, healthy eating and community enterprise in the local area, and we look forward to seeing it progress. No-one understands a community better than the people who live there. This is why, through Bright Ideas we are providing a mix of support and small grants to local people to develop community business ideas that will transform their local areas.
