In Partnership with 81 Acts of Exuberant Defiance’s Steering Group and Deliberative Assembly (The Exuberant Forum), The Ubele Initiative are looking for an experienced Project Director. This position is funded by National Heritage Lottery Fund under the management of The Ubele Initiative.
We seek someone who is dynamic, passionate, knowledgeable and experienced in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Someone who understands community-led processes, the nuance of working in the public realm and community empowerment. Our candidate should be a people person with strong leadership and communication skills. The role will require IT competence, alongside an understanding of deliberative assemblies and emergent processes.
This person will be supporting project producers with responsibility to deliver specific Acts within the programme, in particular “A Mile in My Shoes: Uprising” and “The People’s Inquiry”. They will also work closely with training partner Museumand: The National Caribbean Heritage Museum and our Heritage partners to ensure the development of robust heritage skills across project stakeholders and high-quality legacy resources for future generations of Brixtonites.
