Saturday 11th May 2024 was a very special day, marking ten years of Ubele. We celebrated at our home in Wolves Lane with our team, our partners and most importantly our community! We ceremonially planted a time capsule (to be opened in the year 2100), used Lego to envision alternative futures as well as drumming, dancing, eating and drinking together.
I want to share my deepest thanks and appreciation to the whole Ubele Team. We put on a celebratory event to remember in true Ubele style!
Our 10th anniversary offers a unique opportunity to reflect, celebrate our achievements and to continue to engage with our communities locally and globally. We have emerging plans for a Black Leadership Exhibition in early Autumn and a Black Possibilities Summit next year before our 11th birthday! Much more to come.
