IVAR and The Ubele Initiative CIC present The Jane Hatfield Award reports

Join us and a host of speakers on September 11th to hear about The Jane Hatfield Award and the work from the first recipients of the Award.

Both teams have conducted research and released reports that explore the experiences, barriers and opportunities of social action and social entrepreneurship for young people of Black and Minoritised communities. In this event we will explore the themes that have emerged from the reports like equitable funding and support needed in the social action space.

The reports are available to download at: https://www.ivar.org.uk/jane-hatfield-award/

You can find out more about the researchers and their research by attending this event, as well as more information about the next round of the Award.

Remember to register for 11th September event.

Events and Opportunities

⭐️ MOPAC Funding

The fund focuses on supporting the resilience of organisations working to end Violence Against Women and Girls in minoritised and marginalised communities.

Two-year grants of up to £100,000 will be provided, as well as capacity building, networking opportunities and monitoring support for individual organisations.

Partnerships of up to three organisations can apply for two-year grants of up to £120,000 for the partnership.

Organisations interested in applying will need to ensure that they meet The London Community Foundation’s core eligibility criteria. It is worthwhile checking this before starting an application. For example, organisations with overdue monitoring with The London Community Foundation will not be eligible.

The Fund will prioritise;

  • Black Minority Ethnic organisations focusing on ending VAWG

  • Women's community organisations where delivery services aimed at ending VAWG is the main focus

  • Specialist community organisations (e.g. disability rights groups, providing services aimed at ending VAWG)
