The Greater London Authority (GLA) is seeking an Independent Creative Programmer to shape the vision and curate the content for two events in 2024 & 2025 by building on the success of the first Black on the Square event in Trafalgar Square which took place on 2 September 2023 and celebrated London’s Black creative talent.
The Greater London Authority (GLA) is seeking an independent Creative Programmer to shape the vision and curate the content for two events in 2024 & 2025 by building on the success of the first Black on the Square event in Trafalgar Square which took place on 2 September 2023 and celebrated London’s Black creative talent. The consultant is critical to realising the artistic vision, the curation, shaping and securing the content for these two Black on the Square flagship events in 2024 & 2025. The proposed dates are: Saturday 7 September 2024 and Saturday 6 September 2025. The content development process will include ideas and input from a Community Advisory Group, the GLA’s Culture & Creative Industries, Events and Communities teams to ensure the vision and the objectives of the Mayor’s commitment is achieved. The event staging and management will be delivered by a separately contracted production management company and is not in the scope of this brief.
