Project: Ubuntu Social Leaders Academy
The course seeks to reveal hidden dynamics in key areas such as leadership, conflict resolution, relationships between stakeholders, culture change, management of innovation & organisational restructuring.
Ubuntu Social Leaders Academy is based on an African leadership philosophy which emphasises the importance of community, collectivism and relationships over material things. The programme consists of immersive learning opportunities that supports Ubele’s vision of creating a dynamic and expanded cohort of Black and Minoritised social leaders, who will be able to put their new knowledge to practical use.

This 6-day course will bring together a group of community leaders and activists aged 45yrs+ and with 10yrs+ experience. The course seeks to enable participants to share and explore the role of leadership in the development of sustainable communities and identify how their experience and potential could be used to the wider benefit. It draws on Appreciative Leadership, embodiment, leadership tools and enneagram.

This 5-day course supports African heritage participants to explore social and political activism in the Netherlands drawing from the experiences of African Diaspora communities from Surinam and the Dutch Caribbean. Learning journeys will take participants into the 'field' to the physical spaces and community-based organisations of social and/or political significance to gain deeper insight into some of the key challenges and achievements of Dutch Caribbean communities in Amsterdam.
